My son was delivered by a midwife in New York and when I began looking for a similar situation in California for my daughter, I found that I would have to pay substantial out of pocket fees to give birth outside of a hospital setting. While I was very committed to giving birth naturally, my commitment fell short of the $7,000 it would have cost to give birth with a midwife.
 

This is where Gili came in. As a doula she helped me and my husband develop a birth plan and navigate the hospital protocol in order to avoid unnecessary interventions. Most importantly, she provided the support that my midwife had provided during my first labor by massaging my back during contractions and coaching my breathing. Before the actual birth, she met with my husband and me to get a sense of what we were looking for. She even came to one of my prenatal appointments to get to know my OBGYN!

Gili is passionate about her work. She loves what she does and this energy is evident from the first meeting to the home visit she makes to check in with you and your little one after labor. She even surprised us with photos of our daughter's birth, which is something we will cherish forever.
